Pétur Már Gunnarsson (b. 1975) is calm. He has tread carefully in various jobs and arts for quite some time. His last graduation with honors was from Concordia University in Montreal in 2015. There, in addition to an MFA degree, he received substantial grants and good recognition. In 2014, he was awarded a grant from the Guðmunda Andrésdóttir Fund. Past events have sometimes found their way into his work, but it is the present that occupies his thoughts entirely, as it is so fragile that the slightest carelessness can kill it. Then nothing would be left but an imaginary intersection. Pétur's pervasive intention is whole and steadfast: To conquer.
